Rcd, a "Royalty" report from Ideal - for THE WINNING TICKET.
Started filling out the forms for SOMETHING ABOUT THE AUTHOR.
Call from Carl Eisenberg. He has played DARN CLEVER a lot and
everyone likes it, but only the 2-hand. He'd definitely like
to pat it out. Doesn't care for the name and would like WITS END,
except - he says - Reiss has a puzzle of that name. I said that
Parker once had a game WITS END. I checked in my listing of
TM's and couldn't find it.
Carl has definitely decided not to do CASINO GAMMON. No excitement.
On "All Things Considered" heard James F. Fixx talk about his
new book- <s>GAMES FOR</s> [crossed out] MORE GAMES FOR THE SUPERINTELLIGENT.

(cont from 11/16) [11/17]
Herb told me that Moses Goldman was thinking of putting out
a game called OCCUPATION. Herb likes it, but he says that
Felicia says it is only DOTS. However from Herb's de-
scription it seems that there are shapes as shown that [small diagram of a rectangle with six dots]
are to be surrounded by pegs. Goldman will make the board in the form
of 3-D city blocks, by vacuum forming.
Herb mentioned (in what context?) that James Kaylow went to England in
search of games to add to his line.
Felicia came in and she showed me a game E-S-P HIDEOUT that she
and Herb were trying to decide if it was worth doing anything with.
Basically it was two sets of about 5 tracks. Each player secrety
chooses the number of one track and then they each guess the other's
number. If guess is not right other moves horse 1 space on track.
I said that it was an old p&p idea and also the elaborate set what
would be very expensive, for not much play value.
Back to her office with Felicia. She told me about Randy Barton
getting very angry about Andrea Green leaving. Also that Andrea had
been writing the rules for their new line and that Bill Dohrmann
was desperate about getting them done. She called and told Bill
that I was the best rules writer in the business. He said that he
might call me about doing them.
Felicia showed me the carbon of the letter that Bob Gellman told
me about. It was from Mike Kohner to Albert Ehee concerning their
conversation on PATTON and MACARTHUR, and requesting a date to show
them. // Felicia gave me the as sheet for INTERCOURSE.
Felicia said that she realized that I didn't really want to get in-
to the business with her. Instead she asked me to buy another 15% of
THE WINNING TICKET for $2,500. I told her that it wasn't fair to
her, but she said she wants the peace of mind of the money now and
implied that unless she sold other things, the money from TWT
wouldn't save her. Told her that I had to talk to BB [Bernice Sackson] about it.
