JULY 1976 - THURSDAY 15
197TH DAY - 169 DAYS TO COME

To Random House Fabio Coen late and spoke to Janet Townsend.
She said that the lettering in BEYOND SOLITAIRE was a little rough, but
passable. For BEYOND WORDS, however, she suggested that I
get press-on letters. We checked and came up with "Helvetica
Light" 20 pt. and 12 pt. She gave me most of a sheet of something
else to practice. She said the sheets should be sprayed with
"Krylon" #1303 - Crystal Clear to keep the letters on. Use light blue for guide lines.
Arranged that I'd bring the tear out sheets on 7/29 at 10;
she'll get "direct positives" for me to pick up that P.M. to
use for illustrations.
Spoke to Fabio a little. Mentioned giving a review copy of BEYOND TIC TAC TOE
to PLAYTHINGS. He said he'd sent me a dozen to have on hand. I said
that three would be enough. He asked Fay Hartog to have six sent.

From "Statesmen's Club" called John Stephenson. Told him that I finally
got the mention of "Games Gallery" in S & T. He now has two
stores, the new one at 169 E. 61st St.
I asked about CRUDE and he suggested my writing the co. for review copy.
At book store in next block to "Club" bought THE GAME OF WORDS.
