sent to Random House. He would like to use NETWORK and TAKE IT AWAY for wooden games he sells at craft fairs.

Called John Stephenson. he heard that 3M is selling out their game line and wondered if ACQUIRE was available. Told him that they are trying to sell the line as a whole.

I asked if he rcd. the oil game. Yes. It is called CRUDE and it is good.

went thru a "game" of BURIED TREASURE using graph paper but without having scoring spaces - just to check the mechanism. It works good. There will definitely have to be some score for the number of rectangles entered. Another idea is to choose 2 out of 3 cards, or dice.

Called Phil Orbanes and he'll bring KONANE to his house tomorrow.

Call from Felicia about the R.G.I. royalties. Told her I was supposed to call them tomorrow and I'll call her at home if I have any news.

She was showing SPACE BOXES to an oil company as a possible promotional item (??) and two of the towers broke off when she returned it to the box. She wants to show it to Aladdin, so they can diversify. I'll fix it next time I am in.

Called Claude to tell him about Fabio Coen wanting more time on DIABOLIC SQUARES. Date Saturday to meet in Flushing.

terested in building up the company so that he can make a killing by going public with the stock/

Lowe didn't say anything to them, but from another source they heard that Lowe is bidding on the 3M line (!!!).

If "Gamut of Games" stays in business, they will come out with PUZZLE TOWN, STRIKE IT RICH, SURPRISE ATTACK, and SMUGGLING. STRIK IT RICH is an elaboration of PAY OFF. There are 36 spaces each marked with the different combinations of 2 dice. Players take possession of the spaces and then collect when they hit them again, depending on the ownership of adjacent spaces.

SUPRISE ATTACK is a simple war game. There are 6 starting positions and each player gets one depending on a die throw. The "surprise attacker" moves first and continues moving until he gets a certain number, or combination on the dice. (Very rough idea.) Phil also went to Jules Cooper about Ideal taking over "Gamut." Jules would like to take over CARTEL and SMUGGLING, but not the whole line.
