Rcd. a package from Walter Luc Haas with the following rules: QUANTUM (Lazy Days); BATTLEGAMEBOOK I - THE WILD WEST containing BUFFALO HUNTERS, RED CLOUD'S WAR, IRON HORSE, LINCOLN COUNTY WAR; BORDER RAIDERS, TOURNAMENT. (These also have repros of the boards and cutout playing pcs.). Two other books are listed: BATTLEGAME BOOK 3 - GALACTIC WAR, BATTLEGAME BOOK 4 - WORLD WAR II. Also included is the table of contents for THE WAY TO PLAY.
Wrote rules for JOYCE, O.HENRY, DICKENS, POE, and made changes in SUPERGHOSTS to change it to CARROLL.
Dale read them and made some suggestions, as did BB before and as she typed them.

He is quite busy working on the 2nd film strip program. But I asked and he said that it would be o.k. to drop by and pick up the things he has sent for me, as long as I call before to check.
I asked and he said that SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN wasn't doing anything on games. Martin had tried to get John Horton Conway to arrange a meeting with Sci. Am. to discuss FOOTBALL, but he didn't seem interested. He may write a book on it.
While going thru last years diary came across TOLSTOY. This could be the 6th word game.
While at Fabio's today he checked the sales of BEYOND TIC TAC TOE. Just under 45,000. Last week, however, there were sales of about 430 and returns of only 7.
I asked about foreign rights while at lunch and he was going to check if anything was happening, but we forgot until after 5.
He mentioned that a third volume of ALTAIR DESIGN was coming out. He said that he hadn't had a chance to think thru on DIABOLIC SQUARES and asked for more time.

For 1976 Ideal is coming out with SINKING OF THE TITANIC and THE STING, which is not about the movie - rather it is about Las Vegas and there are opportunities to pull fast ones. It is by Marvin Glass Assoc. Talking about Marvin Glass, Phil said that when he was working at Reiss he saw the game MASTERPIECE submitted by Christian Thee (see 9/23/75). It was just about the same as the game put out by P. [Parker Brothers] except that above the circular path a transparent overlay could be rotated, moving all the player's tokens.
Gamma 2 sent him a copy of a game AIRLINE, being interested in
"Gamut of Games" marketing in the U.S. He rember remembers my
