<br>St. John Evangelist - 361st day - 4 days to come | |||
---- | |||
Rcd. two sets of the <u>SMUGGLING</u> rules from <u>Phil Orbanes</u>. | |||
<br>Play around with <s><u>SPECULATION</u></s> <u>INVESTMENT</u>, drew up a diagram, and had | |||
eight copies made on Boston Post Road. Went thru a game myself. | |||
The starting level for 4 stocks is set by using three cards each | |||
(giving new cards if there is a duplication). The third card gives | |||
the starting trend — odd-down, even-up. Get one share of each | |||
free. Change market price of each stock in order - draw two | |||
cards and move difference of two. Move in trend direction, unless | |||
a 7 is drawn which gives a sudden reversal. A double stays at | |||
same level and reverses when it changes. After these 8 cards are | |||
drawn, draw 1 card at a time. Must buy or sell a share of | |||
the number drawn, unless impossible in which case "turn" ends — | |||
(should there be a penalty?) can stop drawing even if cards | |||
still remain, even before drawing any, a 5 or 6 is wild and | |||
can be called any number from 1 to 4. If a stock would go | |||
off in either direction, it instead reverses direction. If it | |||
hits 0 all shares in that co. [company] are lost. If it hits 25 sell all | |||
with a bonus (How much?). At end of market value table sell re- | |||
maining shares for final price. | |||
<br>BB tried part of a game, had lousy luck, and didn't like | |||
it. | |||
<br>When getting the repros I looked at John's, saw <u>HOLIDAY</u> for | |||
$3.99. Bought <u>SUPERGROUP</u> for $1.99. | |||
<br>Cut up one repro of <u>O. HENRY</u> and used it in helping me rear- | |||
range the letters. Started making a new diagram, allowing | |||
space for scoring. | |||
<br>Ch. 2 news had a piece on <u>PETROPOLIS</u>. | |||
