Letter from Steve Wilson. Mentioned THE 6 PACK ---, MONTAGE, CITADEL, NIX. Sent me repro of rules for THE GAME OF 49 and in letter described the equipment.

Called Phil Orbanes and set date for Thurs. at 10 A.M.
Call from Phil, They rcd. the disvesture letter from 3M; I told him
that I had heard already, and had cried a lot.
He told me that Waldimir Von Zedtwitz has lost interest in "Gamut of Games." Partially because Djoli Kansil is out, and also because BRIDGETTE is not the leading game in the line any more. He and Carl are trying to line up other backing.

Working on the GAME of 11/27, tentative name - INVESTMENT. Layed [Laid?] it out with spaces for recording prices of the stocks, number of shares, and amount of money available. The alternate throwing of the dice - buy/sell and market value - was difficult to keep track of and also the slow movement of the market was dull. Instead used 6 cards to move the 6 stocks one at a time - choosing up or down. Then the rest of the cards are used for buy/sell. It worked, but wasn't exciting as a game and certainly not pictorially.
Made a layout for FOUR COLOR. Mad Marked 12 spaces which are filled in with colors 1 to 4 according to the turn of cards. Usually the solution was too easy, but some setups were impossible. Stayed up very late trying to work things out, but no success.

(Cont. from 12/16) [12/17] In talking about KINGMAKER, C. Vasey's offer of rules additions
came up. What I thought were references to the game PARLIAMENT
were actually references to "parliament" in KINGMAKER. (See 11/11.)
This came up in connection with Richard saying that A.H. will
be putting out KINGMAKER. They are clarifying the boundaries on the
map, and are also adding more fighting units.
