Called Fabio Coen. He will be out of town next week and we set 12/17 at 11 A.M. for a date to show him my progress on the two new books. It will also be O.K. to go over the changes in the VASARELY diagram and in the arrangement of the pages in BEYOND TIC TAC TOE then.
I asked and the sales of BEYOND TIC TAC TOE are about 40,000. I told him of Jean-Jacques Bloch's desire to place BTTT [Beyond Tic Tac Toe] in France. Fabio thinks that a publisher in France has an option on the book. He'll let me know.
Looked at my contract. I get 75% of royalties from a foreign language edition. Also noticed that the royalty goes to 6% after sales of 50,000.
Rcd. [received] letter from Walter luc Haas with a copy of the "Bontique für Spieler" catalog that I already rcd. on 10/14/75. He also sent a set of rules for ADVICE (repros [reproductions]): with variations - COMMUNE, DICTATOR, SLAUGHTER & MAYHEM, SLAUGHTER, MAYHEM, SET-UP.
Rcd. THE GAMESLETTER (#84). This is the last issue of the current setup. TGL [The Gamesletter] will now be a 2 to 4 page newsletter published every 2 to 4 weeks. THE GAMESMAN will be every 6 to 8 weeks and will be 30 to 40 pages. My subscription will run from TG no 7 thru no 12. I won't get TGL unless I send money.
This issue primarily on wargaming and DIPLOMACY Mags. rcd. Also mention that he has rcd. copies of TRIPPPLES, BARRIER, TOTALLY, INTERSECTION, PUSHOVER, and BALI. Also BEYOND TIC TAC TOE.

Paid ads by "Axis Wargaming" (Glen Taylor) for OCTAGONAL WARFARE, ALEPH-NULL, 1820, WAR, PRELUDE TO ARMAGEDDON, BREAKOUT, COSMIC CHAOS, CUBIC WARFARE. ($2.00 for all of the rules.)
Paid ad for "Messerschmitt War-Gaming" (Tom Philo) for REVOLT ON JUPITER XII, STARSHIP, THE WASHINGTON DERBY, GALACTIC EMPIRE. They also run games in NUCLEAR BLITZKRIEG, OCTAGONAL WARFARE, and NUCLEAR DESTRUCTION. Paid ad by "Metagaming concepts" for the SPACE GAMER, with mentions of STELLAR CONQUEST, THE YTHRI, WAR OF WIZARDS, STAR PROBE, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, EMPIRE OF THE PETAL THRONE. Paid ad by "Excalibre Games, Inc." for ANCIENT CONQUEST. Small ad for NEW WORLD by "Control" (Paul T. McGraw.)
Wrote letters requesting review copies of CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD and O-SCHLEMIEL.
Thinking of another word GAME somewhat like BATTLESHIPS. Each player has hidden words - say - 4, 5, 6, & 7 letters long.
