Called <u>Fabio Coen</u>. He will be out of town next week and we set
12/17 at 11 A.M. for a date to show him my progress on the two
new books. It will also be O.K. to go over the changes in the
<u>VASARELY</u> diagram and in the arrangement of the pages in
<u>BEYOND TIC TAC TOE</u> then.
<br>I asked and the sales of <u>BEYOND TIC TAC TOE</u> are about 40,000.
I told him of <u>Jean-Jacques Bloch</u>'s desire to place <u>BTTT</u> [Beyond Tic Tac Toe] in
France. Fabio thinks that a publisher in France has an option
on the book. He'll let me know.
<br>Looked at my contract. I get 75% of royalties from a foreign
language edition. Also noticed that the royalty goes to 6% after
sales of 50,000.
<br>Rcd. [received] letter from <u>Walter luc Haas</u> with a copy of the "Bontique für
Spieler" catalog that I already rcd. on 10/14/75. He also sent a set
of rules for <u>ADVICE</u> (repros [reproductions]): with variations - <u>COMMUNE</u>, <u>DICTATOR</u>,
<u>SLAUGHTER & MAYHEM</u>, <u>SLAUGHTER</u>, <u>MAYHEM</u>, <u>SET-UP</u>.
<br>Rcd. <u>THE GAMESLETTER</u> (&#35;84). This is the last issue of the current
setup. TGL [<i>The Gamesletter</i>] will now be a 2 to 4 page newsletter published every
2 to 4 weeks. <u>THE GAMESMAN</u> will be every 6 to 8 weeks and
will be 30 to 40 pages. My subscription will run from TG [<i>The Gamesman</i>] &#35;7 thru
&#35;12. I won't get TGL unless I send money.
<br>This issue primarily on wargaming and <u>DIPLOMACY</u> Mags. [magazines]
