Hanukkah, Festival of Lights - 333rd day - 32 days to come
Rcd. a "Bicentennial Calendar 1976" from "Advertisers Marketing
Services, Gerald Daugherty's outfit.
Wrote letter asking for review copy of THE CONTRACTING GAME.
Call from Robert Horn (THE GUIDE TO SIMULATIONS/GAMES FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING)
while I was out. Another call while I was home. He will be in New
York this coming week and would like to get together to discuss
games. ("He has been involved with the trees and would like to
see the forrest" - or did he say it the other way?).
Invited him here for lunch next Thursday. Took his number 0 just
in case: Robert Horn [phone number] (Weds. evening he'll be at [phone number])
Anthony from next door borrowed the second copy of GUSHER. Checked the
pcd. before he took it an d discovered that a pc. had been lost sometimes.
Noted this on the file card.
Played ABC D-DUCTION with Phil Laurence. At first Phil thought it was too
simple, but after a second game he saw that there was a challenge.
The four of us finished the game of WORD RACE we started last week.
Phil Won.

They are repackaging CARTEL for the family market, which
means they will use drawings showing tycoons raking in
companies and money instead of the sophisticated photograph.
They will come out with a line of "great little games":
PUZZLE TOWN (the one he showed me as FUN-CITY). He is adding a
score sheet. Plus scores for completing blocks. Penalties for putting
border colors inside - not connected to border.
STRIKE IT RICH - an elaboration of PAY OFF.
