Call from Pierre Berloquin in the evening, from Kennedy. He is
working on a newspaper GAME for LE MONDE, and Miro will pub-
lish it. He has a new play principle. He asked me what
games have been done based on newspapers. Told him about SCOOP (P.),
STAR REPORTER (P) and THE FRONT PAGE. He didn't seem to be in-
terested in the details.
I asked him to keep an eye on interesting new French games
for me. He said that not much is being done. He did say
that there is a GAME that uses pcd. similar to Mark Odier's.
It is put out by "Compagnie Géneral de Jouet" (C.G.J.) and he'll send
me a copy.
I tried to emphasize that we could, and should, help each other. I
mentioned that my getting him together with Martin Gardner
had been good for both of them. He said that appreciate it
very much.
This morning in talking about the doing in Washington, he mentioned
that in a newspaper interview Randy Barton couldn't answer any ques-
tions on the history of MONOPOLY.
