October 1975 - Tuesday 28
St. Simon and St. Jude Apostles - 301st day - 64 days to come
----
Sent "memo" to Violet I. Gunther (see 10/18) refusing the
material on cards.
Spent day going thru many books and got together a list of
30 games for THE GAME CUBE.
Called Bob Gellman to ask if I could use 16 checkers in-
stead of 15 since this would allow some added variations. O.K.
Call from Felicia. She asked my opinion on SHIFT. Told her it was
much better than the Kontnell version, but that she was the one
who would know if it has any commercial possibilities.
She hears (from whom?) that TOTALLY is doing well. She is unhappy
with what Aladdin is doing with BALI. Alice McElhone, who she says
is very smart, thinks that TRIPPPLES doesn't belong in discount
stores. Felicia feels the same about BALI.
Rcd. letter from Bob Gellman (that he sent from Chicago) with
repro of the STEEPLECHASE face and ad sheets showing the
other five faces of THE GAME CUBE.
Rcd. another copy of 1976 "Childcraft" Catalog. Noticed some
games that I missed [illegible word crossed out] when I looked at the copy I
rcd. on 9/23: SHAKESPEARE, TUF, NUMBLE, SPLIT WORDS,
SENTENCE CUBE GAME, REMBI, ONESETS, OUTDOOR SURVIVAL;
PSYCHO SPAGHETTI; VIADUCT (with a very descriptive picture).
In a call from my cousin, Allan Efros, he mentioned that a
nephew of his wife's (Belle) is a worker at S.P.I., and met me.
His name is Brad Hessel.
BB got a book from Barbara Horn - that used to be Laurie's-
GAMES AND PARTIES THE YEAR ROUND.
