Call from <u>Felicia</u> to check whether I'd be there today. Yes, at

<br>To Tree Communications. Went over my corrections and comment
on <u>THE FAMILY CREATIVE WORKSHOP</u>. She made notes and will take
them up with the editor from Time/Life.
<br>Looked at the pictures they will be using and the one of me
to be used with my bio is excellent. Ordered a 5"x7" b&w for
$2.50. <u>Marilyn Nierenberg</u> said she'd also try and get me some
of the negative of the unused shots.
<br>To <u>Joy Peterson</u>. Gave him my new set of rules for
<u>THE HARRY LORAYNE MEMORY GAME</u> and he ran off a set of
repros for me. He'll read them later and will contact me
if he has any questions.
<br>He was thinking of putting different names on the
two sides of the "name" cards and that way get away with
1 sheet of 15 cards. I told him that that would be very con-
fusing. I suggested 2 sheets of names, 2 of faces, and
4 of objects - for a total of 120 cards. He had been think-
ing of about 100 cards.
<br>I asked him for <u>Harry Lorayne</u>'s telephone number when
I heard that he was back in town.
<br>The salesman there (Jock is his firsrt [sic] name I believe) said
that he has been seeing my name around (Bloomingdale's,
etc.) but where are me games? He said I should come up
with visual, manipulative games - that's what's selling.
Told him that I had done the 6 <u>SPECTACULARS</u>, but haven't
heard anything from Manny on them.
<br>He said that nothing will be done until he gets back from
London.

<br>He had a model of his patented game <u>STIK STAK STUK</u>, which is
simply a <u>NIM</u> game played with a self
contained gadget. The lines are raised so

<br>Felicia and I were not greatly impressed even
tho he kept telling us how great it is. Felicia
asked him if he would put his own money behind it. He said he would-
except that he is too busy with other things. He is a parent attorney.
<br>Felicia showed me an ad that was in the Book Review section of last
Sunday's <u>TIMES</u> for <u>BEYOND TIC TAC TOE</u>.
<br>Felicia gave me a $25 check for my share of the <u>DAISY</u> article.
