Alaska Day (Alaska) - 293rd day - 72 days to come

Call from Gerald Daugherty while I was out. Called him back. His contact is with "Iberia Airlines. Nothing can be done now, until their budget is firmed up. He will get back to me as soon as something is definite, and we'll all get together.
Going over the rules that Harry Lorayne wrote up for THE HARRY LORAYNE MEMORY GAME.
Call from {Bob Brass [address] He got my number from Bev. Cooke and Mary Walmsly. He is the inventor of THE LOST GOLD OF COYOTE CANYON. There is some kind of patent problem, and he asked if I knew of any other games using the mechanism of a hidden magnet. I mentioned Cadaco's THE SHERLOCK HOLMES GAME. He knows about this, and it isn't the problem. I didn't know of any other game; didn't ask him and he didn't tell me any of the details.
I asked what others games he has done. SAFARI ROUND-UP for Waddington's. I didn't remember it, but it was reviewed in G&P.
COVER UP for P. of Canada, P. of England, and also in Germany. At first I didn't remember it, but then remembered buying it in Canada. But didn't remember any of the play.
TOTEM for Capiepa in France. It won the award last year as best game of the year.
DRAG-OMINOS for Pressman. He said he'd send me copies of SAFARI ROUND-UP, COVER UP (the Ger- man edition), TOTEM, and DRAG-OMINOS. I asked if I could send him anything. Yes - ACQUIRE. Said I would.
He said that he has been very lucky with his games and toys - which are a sideline with him (he has a good job with Xerox).
