<br>At Claude's noticed a game <u>TRIPTIC</u> (which was the same as
<u>TRI-TAC-TOE</u>). Claude asked me to take it just to get it out of
his way. (Actually the post for constructing the field are
missing.)
<br>Payed Claude $2 for the copy of <u>QUIEN SABÉ</u>. (Parker 1906).
Claude had a letter from <u>Phil Cohen</u> asking for his <s>desicision</s> decision
on a player who can't move in <u>LOA</u>. Phil said it is his second fav-
orite game - after <u>GO</u>. He has played it <s>a 6x6</s> on a 6x6 and on a
19x19 field. He has played 3-hand <u>HEXALOA</u>. And he has an idea
for a variation <u>STACKING LOA</u>. A player can land on one or more of
his own pcs. - forming a stack. All pcs. in a stack are counted in
the line of movement. Pcs. are moved from a stack one at a time.
<br>In morning worked on a diagram for <u>WORD RACE</u>. (Yesterday I played
around with one circuit. Seems O.K.)
<br>At <u>Claude</u>'s he showed me some of his <u>DIABOLIC SQUARES</u> puzzles. I
found them rather easy, even the one he said was very hard - he didn't
tell me which numbers to use or the required total. He said he could
come up with some harder ones.
<br>Looked at the book - <u>THE EXECUTIVE STRATEGIST</u> and decided that
I wanted to buy a copy.
