Also copied some of the starting positions of RAUMSCHACH - from Maack's book. In letter mentioned AGOG; 3-D CHESS, ORBITAL CHESS, CHANCELLOR CHESS, THE GAME OF WAR, INTERFACE; V.R. Parton; ZONAL CHESS; CHESS ECCENTRICITIES; S&T; TOGO, G&P; LES GRANDS AMIRAUX, ADMIRALS, BATTLE STATIONS; LEVELER CHESS!, ASTRO-CHESS, ZODIAC STAR CHESS.
Call from Marilyn Nierenberg. The editor has gone over my piece for THE FAMILY CREATIVE WORKSHOP and it will be going over to Time/Life. She'll send me a carbon copy to check and I can get any com- ments to her within two weeks. She'll also send me the copy of MARIE-CLAIRE.
Called Barbara Weinstein. The Blowup of VASARELY was shipped to Bloomingdale's. In fact everything is there, except that she is not sure whether Bloomingdale's will supply the cardboard. I said I'll bring some. She'll call me Thursday or Friday morning to make the final arrangements.
Call from Alice of "Gamut of Games". They tried to get a copy of A PLAYER'S GUIDE TO TABLE GAMES but couldn't find one in the city and Stackpole promised to send one - but didn't. She wanted the plug about CARTEL (and ACQUIRE). I read her the following her the final paragraph, as she copied it.
Rcd. a letter from Marek Penszko. He'll send me the translation of FOOTBALL and the other information in his next letter. He asked about HALMA and CHINESE CHECKERS, mentioning Martin Gardner's column. He hasn't rcd. AGOG yet. He sent me another of Lech Pijanowski's puzzles - LABIRYNT.
