<br>Some ideas for word games for a book - possible name
<u>WORDS FOR THE WISE</u> (altho <u>Phil Orbanes</u> suggested this for
his game that was called <u>WORDPLAY</u> - see '73)
<br><u>WORD RACE</u>: Have 4 tracks of - say - 60 spaces each. Certain
spaces are marked in each track and at the start the
alphabet is filled into these marked spaces - except that only
one is picked from "Qx2" - in a random manner; or one player
can set them up for another. Players starting at a starting line,
fill in words as long a they can, using the previously <s>spaced</s>
placed letters and also those from previous words, if they wish.
First to return to the start wins.
<br><u>GAME</u>: Each player chooses words that add up to - say - 20 letters
and write them haphazardly. The other player(s) tries to
come up with words that use all the letters one time. (This
probably won't be suitable, since it can be played on any
piece of paper.) | |||
<br><u>GAME</u>: Letters are filled into the boxes
on a field as shown (or some can be
printed, leaving only part of the spaces
to be filled by the players). Players in
turn connect the boxes to form a word.
A box can only be used once and lines
can't be crossed. Last to form a word
wins. As a variation, 3 lines can be al-
lowed at each box. | |||
