has is with Alice McElhone (??). He said that TOTALLY (I be-
lieve) is in her "UnCommon Games" catalog. He will be seeing
her next week and, at my request, will ask her to see me a
catalog. Another contact is with S&R, and this is where he'd
like the game to go.
I asked if I had omitted the sample of my column. Yes.
Asked and he'd like to see it. Promised to send one.
Looked over the John Gollon folder, but didn't get a chance to write.
(cont. from 9/30) [9/30]
is doing a book MATHEMATICAL GAMES CARNIVAL by Martin Gardner.
It seemed to be a scattered assortment of columns from his
columns. Fabio asked Fay to get me a copy.
To see Barbara Weinstein. We discussed my presentation at
Bloomingdales. She will see that I get a blackboard and a
blow-up of VASARELY (which we decided to use instead of
SPRINGER) with a plastic overlay for reuse. Also there will
be sheets to give each kid, with crayons and card-
board backings.
I suggested distributing the sheets with COMBINATION
that J.D. had run off for me to use at Hallmark. She said
it would detract from the book. I brought up the idea of
a "party" game again. She vetoed it again.
She'll call me the beginning of the week of 10/14 to
make final plans.
To "Games Gallery" and gave the list of names to John Stephenson.
John had a game for me that he wasn't handling (because of the
packaging) - UNI-SPEC. He asked me for the wholesale price - $4.00.
He suggested that I redo the boards for PATTON and MACARTHUR, putting
them on hexes - so that they will be true "starters" games. I said
that I always have to do something that is original.
He is getting an oil simulation GAME soon which he is sure I'll be in-
terested in. It will retail for $20 and I asked John to let me look at
it before he gets one for me. He said that he'll be handling it and
that I can study it as much as I want.
I showed him the copy of BEYOND TIC TAC TOE and he called Pantheon
to ordered a dozen.
