Visited the Laurences. Phil and I played my ANAGRAMS VARIATION.
Then played 4-hand. At first Annette didn't care for it but
she got so invested involved that she wanted to finish a
round of four plays of the same tiles. Very late but almost
did it.
Phil gave me some info he rcd. from ASCE on their
(*) ENGINEERING MANAGER GAME SEMINAR. (Filed in '75 misc.)

He brought up the idea of working together on some games. I gathered
that I would pay to have them produced and he'll pay to promote
them. Told him that I had two good possibilities (DARN CLEVER
and TAKE-A-WORD).
He has EMPINONDAS, as well as some other off-beat things, but
nothing I don't know. If I come across anything interesting he'd
like to know about it, but not amateur war and fantasy companies.
To Union Oil Co. office and left a note for Warren Buell.
Looked in Brentanos. Nothing new. They had a section of games
on sale, including PATTON, MACARTHUR, the Reiss p&p games,
the Itemation games, the OrDa games.
To Paddington Press and picked up a copy of THE WAY TO PLAY.
Spoke to Ruth Cavin and gave her a copy of S&T no. 51. She told me
that a book they did on tanks was once reviewed. She'd apprec-
iate my sending her a tear sheet.
