21 Sunday - September 1975
Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost - 264th day - 101 days to come
Working on game diary.
Played DOMINOS with BB and my folks.
WOMAN'S DAY had ad by Time/Life Books for
THE FAMILY CREATIVE WORKSHOP. Clipped it. Each volume is
$5.95 + postage.
(cont. from 9/22) [9/23]
she is bringing a children's game, THE ZOO KEEPER, with her.
She has played it and thinks it is lots of fun.
In one of our calls Felicia and I discussed the possibility of
my doing a regular column for DAISY. She brought up that I
would have to review children's games, and I said that I just
wasn't qualified.
Picked up the Sears X'Mas catalog. Tore out game- among others:
PONG, FAST TRAK, THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN,
THE U.S.A. BICENTENNIAL GAME, WHATCHAMACALLIT,
SECRET MAGIC SESAME WORD GAME, HIGH STAKES, SPELLBOUND,
POWER BROKER, DOGFIGHT, SKIRMISH, SUB SEARCH, TANK BATTLE,
FRENZY, SLIGIN' SLOT, FACE OFF, HEY TAXI, BARNSTORMER,
SUPERFECTION, PERFECTION, YESTERYEAR. [Filed in '75 misc.]
Called Paddington Press again. The woman in charge of review copies was out again
left my number - but she didn't call back: THE WAY TO PLAY [illegible word crossed out].
Called John Stephenson and asked him how far back to go with addresses.
Not more than 2 years - unless I am sure they are still there. Told
him that I'd have 50 names at most, and I'd bring them sometime
next week.
Thinking of a GAME played similar to FREE FORM but with dimen-
sional pcs. that have parts higher than others. In order to be
able to move a pc. it must be able to be gripped from two sides.
Call from Earl Perel. He's like to get together to play games soon. I
suggested his contacting Claude and picking a date, and then one
of them calling me to see if I can make it.
Called Claude. Not in and spoke to Anne - mainly about the trip last week.
Call from Claude. Made a tentative date for Thurs. of next week,
depending on which night I meet with Warren Buell.
