11 Thursday - September 1975
254th day - 111 day to come
Card from S.K. Howard. He came across an old copy of a
game BEAT THE MARKET and wondered if it was the one we
have been talking about. No, it is by Clever Games, not
by Kribs.
Rcd. a letter that had been sent to Pantheon. It was to
ALTAIR DESIGN, not to me.
Rcd. a letter from Steve Wilson. Thanks me for THE 6 PACK ---;
has played FINANCIER, PAY OFF, and OIL STRIKE; asks about
SPY; won't play THE GREAT RACES since they prefer SOLITAIRE DICE.
He has joined NOST and lost two games of LAP to Phil Cohen. Also
mentions KNIGHT CHASE, Martin Gardner, and AGOG.
Mentions picking up out of print games in small towns: PSYCHE-PATH
(with a reference to this and VECTOR being in the Cuisenair Catalog),
BOUNDARY, LINK-UP, and CITADEL (which he offered to send me).
Asks about my creativity, mentioning S&T, THE 6 PACK---, REALM,
FITTING & PROPER, THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS, SLEUTH, MONAD, VENTURE,
BEYOND TIC TAC TOE.
His new efforts are DOUBLE JUMP - using two SOLITAIRE boards
and an unnamed GAME using the RELATE equipment,
Call from Earl and I invited him here for supper. Nothing on games ex-
cept that Parker returned DON'T BLOW A FUSE after keeping it about
6 months. Schaper wrote that they weren't interested. And he keeps
calling Jules Cooper but he never calls back.
Wrote to Marek Penszko. Mentioned PROBLEMY, Lech Pijanowski,
FOOTBALL, Martin Gardner; MINI-KRZYZOWKA, WIROWKA, KRATKOWNICA,
HARCABY, MURY, NAKRYWANKA; AGOG.
(cont. from 9/16) [9/16]
him about what transpired.
