3 Wednesday - September 1975
246th day - 119 days to come
To "Tree Communications." Marilyn Nierenberg read my manuscript,
mainly to make sure that she understood all the games:
MANCALA, MILL, THE JUNGLE GAME, ANAGRAMS, LASCA, and QUICK TRIP.
Discussions including another gal and the photographer and they
will probably start the article with a full page photo of two
kids playing THE JUNGLE GAME and end it with a full page photo
of QUICK TRIP being played by adults.
Marilyn gave me a check for $375 - which included $25 for the
weaving instructions BB wrote up.
Lunch with Marilyn and then I left while the photographed the
games. Arranged to be back about an hour and a half later.
To S.P.I. Howie Barasch on vacation. Redmund checked his desk
and didn't see anything for me.
Made repros of the following: 5-5 board, which also has rules on it.
CONTIGO rules. THOUGHTWAVE - the sample game on the bottom
of the box and two repros of the pcs. - couldn't do the rules since
they are on box cover. DOUBLE DEALER - rules, client cards,
Antique cards (made 2 sets).
Took a boxed copy of NAPOLEON AT WAR, with the following four games:
MARENGO, JENA-AVERSTADT, WAGRAM, and THE BATTLE OF NATIONS. Also
took an unboxed set.
To Reiss Games to talk to Manny Lefkowitz to talk about
the SPECTACULARS. In conference and I left word for him to call
me tomorrow.
Back to "Tree Communications." Photographer took pictures of 4
of us playing QUICK TRIP - then pictures of me. Took back all
my material except for the board for THE JUNGLE GAME, which
Marilyn kept for photographing after the pictures of animals are
drawn up. Left her a copy (I have another at home) of
MARIE-CLAIRE Magazine to use to get ideas.
Asked her to let me know when she is finished editing my written mat-
erial so that I can check against an inadvertent change in meaning.
She will.
