August 1975 - Thursday 21
233rd day - 132 days to come
----
To Phil Orbanes. He apologized for not calling me (see 8/19). I
found out that I hadn't missed a quarter.
<s>To Bob Reiss. Spoke to him</s> In connection with SPECTACULARS, he
said that the fellow who does the molding for Reiss (and
for Gamut of Games also I suppose) is interested in handling
the whole package - paying me my royalties rather than Reiss.
This would be better for me since he would give me mock ups
of the spectacles to work with. His name: {Herb Chanko [phone number]
To Reiss. Spoke to Bob Reiss and to {Jay Peterson [phone number].
We spoke about 5x3 board, instead of the 4x4 board.
Jay had a set of rules that Harry Lorayne sent in. He thought
there is too many words and that it wasn't clear. Then I
discovered that he meant the part that Harry had added
to my original rules. I took a repro of the rules to clean
them up - ASAP. Jay in the meantime will work with the plastic
molder.
Spoke to Manny Lefkowitz about the SPECTACULARS. He had a
handmade model of the frame with a maze on the bottom
pc. Wanted to borrow the frame so that I could substitute
my own bottom pcs. out of cardboard. He wouldn't give it to
me. He did give me some steel balls and I also took two
puzzles from the showroom with colored ball.s
I mentioned Chanko and the possibility of getting a frame
from him. Manny doesn't think so, but doesn't mind if I try.
He is not sure whether they'll do 4 or 6, but wants at
least 4 different ones.
Some ideas that I have been having for some time for
SPECTACULARS.
