10 Sunday - August 1975
Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost - 222nd day - 143 days to come

In rearranging books on the upstairs shelves (for the holding piles downstairs) discovered that the book CHESSMEN I bought on 2/28 was a duplicate.
Thought of the mechanism for QUICK TRAP (see 8/7). 12 cities are located on the board, connected with paths made up of circle in 4 different colors - in random order but with equal numbers of each color. 2 to 4 play, using markers of the same 4 colors. A set of 24 cards is used with the tour colors arranged in all possible arrangements - and numbered from "1" to "4" next to the colors. Another set of 12 cards have the city names. Incidentally, on the board each city is also marked with one of the four colors.
The players each take a city card and place their marker in that city. Then the city cards are reshuffled and placed face down next to the board - next to numbers from 1 to 12. As many cards, starting with 1, as there are players in the game are turned face up. Players try to be the first to reach a city with a face up card. The first collects points correspond- ing with the number next to the card, and the card is removed from the game. As soon as a card is won, a new one is faced- up to the #12.
