games back. She lost her temper with him and was afraid that
I might object. I said that she was definitely right. Before
she got mad he had said that <u>RED LETTER</u> was a really good
game, and she said to give us some holding money. He said he
couldn't; she said she wants it back; he said it wasn't so
hot; and she said she'd sell it.
During conversation he said that he was afraid he'd never
get back in my good graces and she said a lot of her clients
didn't like Hallmark. Later he said all my games were sim-
ilar and she said that she defended me.
She asked him about <u>FITTING AND PROPER</u> and <u>THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS</u>.
He didn't know anything. She said she'd call Don Hall and he said
he'd let her know by next Monday.
<br><u>Burt Huber</u> has left Hallmark to another, non-game, co.
The inventor of <u>QUICKSAND</u> might get someone into putting money
up for manufacturing it. She thinks that that backer might put
money behind <u>RED LETTER</u> so that <u>Moses Goldman</u> could man-
ufacture it. (???)
She asked if the name <u>CIVIL WAR</u> had been used for a game.
I checked on M.B.'s and it is called <u>BATTLE CRY</u>. Told her I
didn't think so (but later discovered that A.H. had used the
name).
She asked about <u>DAISY</u> and I said I'd try to be ready by the
