Marilyn Nierenberg here and spent most of day. I would get
$100 for preparing the crafts for photographing and I would have
to pretty much write the rules of the games and tell her every-
thing so that she could write it. Instead she called her boss and
got permission for me to be the "free-lance" writer. I'll get $350.
(I'll also get a set of the 24 volumes.)
We came up with the following games to use - subject to change if I wish:
MANCALA - using egg carton, and lima beans.
MILL - using board drawn on cardboard, and large buttons.
THE JUNGLE GAME - using board drawn on cardboard, and
drawing of the animals to be copied.
QUICK TRIP - she liked the looks of the FOREIGN INTRIGUE
board and I'll do an original travel game with a similar board.
ANAGRAMS - with tiles cut out of cardboard.
LASCA - with a woven board and poker chips for pieces.
GO - with cardboard board and small buttons.
She left volume II as a sample (and I later discovered that Time-
Life wasn't mentioned at all) plus various other information.
For a color page at start we decided on showing the following
world-wide games: HANAFUDA cards (Japan), CLACK: SI GIRA! (Italy),
AKTENZEICHEN XY UNGELÖST (Germany), Q-SETS (Israel), MANCALA (Africa),
LES PRESIDENTS DIRECTEURS GÉNÉRAUX (France), MASTER MIND (England),
ZMOTORYZOWANY TURYSTA (Poland), EENMAAL ANDERMAAL (Holland),
TRI-KING (Variation of Indian game by Chinese-American); ACQUIRE
(U.S.A.)
The set is called THE FAMILY CREATIVE WORKSHOP.
