Called <u>Martin Gardner</u>. He has written an introduction to
<u>Pierre Berloquin</u>'s book and wants to send it to him for his
comment. Martin asked for the latest address I have for Pierre.
Told Martin that I hadn't heard from Pierre since he was in U.S.
Asked Martin if he had looked at <u>Alex Randolph</u>'s games yet. He
still hasn't had a chance to even open them.
<br>On WQXR heard another ad for <u>DOUBLE DUMMY</u>.
<br>Wrote to <u>John Hammond</u> and <u>John Walker</u> asking how come I
hadn't rcd. <u>ROMAN CHARIOT RACING</u> (which I said I probably would
review in <u>S&T</u>), <u>SEA STRIKE</u>, <u>GUERRILLA</u>, <u>TRIREME</u>, <u>DECLINE AND FALL</u>.
<br>Going over <u>Don Turnbull</u>'s letter and issue &#35;50 of <u>ALBION</u> pre-
paratory to writing to him.
<br>Rcd. <u>A PLAYER'S GUIDE TO TABLE GAMES</u> by <u>John Jackson</u>. Among many
other games he mentioned the following of mine: <u>MONAD</u>,
<u>VENTURE</u> in comparison with <u>BILLIONAIRE</u>, <u>ACQUIRE</u> in comparison with
<u>CARTEL</u>, <u>CARD BASEBALL</u> with a mention of <u>AGOG</u>, <u>SLEUTH</u> with a
comparison to <u>CLUE</u>, <u>PATTON</u>. Some others that I don't have are:
<u>BOTTOMS UP</u>, <u>THE PETER PRINCIPLE GAME</u>, <u>PRIME TIME</u>, <u>THE GOD GAME</u>.

<u>HOLIDAY</u>, <u>PATTON</u>, <u>MACARTHUR</u>, and things I sell myself. Also a carbon
of a letter she sent to <u>K. A. Michaelson</u>; she also sent a carbon to
<u>Keith Tuggle</u>.
<br>Rcd. a letter from the manufacturers of <u>1829</u>. They'd like to see a copy of

Herb asked how I was doing and I said not nearly as
good as last year. He asked if I had anything with "Reiss"
and I said only a piece of the action in their p&p games.
Before going into Herb's, Felicia had asked me about <u>MASTER MIND</u>,
which she heard is very big in England. Told her about
Invicta and P. and about how it was played.
