<u>MASTERMIND</u> (which apparantly [sic] OrDa is putting out now. Enclosed
rules, repro of board, and 3 cards for <u>TAKE TEN</u>, a children's
game. Mentions <u>DODGEM</u>, <u>THREE MUSKETEERS</u>, and <u>THOUGHTWAVE</u>.
Discussed his <u>CAPTURING</u>, <u>THE GAME OF STACKS</u>, also <u>BANKO</u>
variations - <u>CENTRE COLUMN</u>, <u>LAST TAKE</u>. Also enclosed another
postcard.
<br>Call from <u>Felicia</u>. She was taken to lunch by <u>Jack Waldvogel</u> of
the "Fred Atkins Organization." He purchases games for some 50
dept. stores. He was interested in learning about games and she
told him about my <u>S&T</u> column. She wanted the address and sub.
price. Gave them to her but warned her that my column in much
too short. She reminded me that she'd like a copy to have on hand.
She said that she pushed the Aladdin games with Waldvogel.
He complained that he had difficulty getting <u>BALI</u> (I think she
told me this).
I told Felicia that I ran into <u>Bud Thomas</u> yesterday and that he
is probably going to be around today. She's thinking of con-
tacting him - but most of her dealings have been with
<u>Shep Bently</u>.
<br>Made a drawing of the <u>ZODIAC STAR CHESS</u> board - to send to <u>S.K. Howard</u>.

Wrote to <u>Mr. Rodimach</u>. Mentioned <u>DARN CLEVER</u>, <u>FREE FOR ALL</u>,
and <u>FOREIGN INTRIGUE</u>.
Wrote up "Find the Lie" Variation for <u>DARN CLEVER</u> and
enclosed it on a separate sheet.
<br>Called <u>Fabio Coen</u> to thank him for the copy of <u>BEYOND TIC TAC TOE</u>,
at present he doesn't even have one for himself.
I brought up the matter of the next book - whether another
book with tear-out sheets is wanted. Yes - unless I have
other ideas. Not at present, but I'd like to discuss the
idea of tear-out sheets for solitaire "Game. Also I have to
get together with <u>Barbara Weinstein</u>. He'll call me on 8/5 and
we'll set a day for both.
<br>Before falling asleep thought of the name <u>FUN FOR ONE</u> as a
working titled for the next Pantheon book.
