Rcd. a postcard from <u>Steve Wilson</u> asking whether I had
rcd. the material he sent me on <u>REVERSI</u> and other material.
Rcd. a letter from <u>S.K. Howard</u>. He enclosed the rules for
<u>CROMPTON'S CHESS</u> (4 page booklet). Mentioned <u>BEAT THE MARKET</u>
and <u>Richard Berg</u>. He'd like repros of the following:
<u>ZODIAC STAR CHESS</u>, <u>5-5</u>, <u>TANGLE</u>, <u>PHALANX</u> (Whitman), <u>HANNO</u>
(by E.P. White), <u>AJEDREZ MODERNO</u> (booklet by G.V. Maura),
<u>RULES OF TOTAL CHESS AND OF QUADRUALENT TOTAL CHESS</u> (by C. Beatty);
<u>CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER</u>, <u>ENDURING SPIRIT OF DASAPADA</u>,
<u>IDEA FOR A PERSONAL GAME</u> (last three by <u>V.R. Parton</u>). Mention of
<u>THE WARLORD</u>, <u>JET CHESS</u>, and a <u>CHESS variant</u> played on an 8x8x8
field that was advertised in <u>CHESS LIFE & REVIEW</u>. Some game
ideas and things that have come out that are similar: <u>GO</u> variant,
<u>ROSETTE</u>, <u>G & P</u>, <u>CHECKERS III</u>, <u>DELTA</u>, <u>HEXAGO</u>, <u>HEX-TRIANGO</u>,

She didn't have a copy on hand and said she'd send me one.
Left a card. List price of <u>ZONE X</u> is $6.75.

<br>To R.G.I. <u>Bob Gellman</u> off on vacation. Said hello to Stan. Noticed that
at Bob's desk there were a number of Itemation games. Had
Stan run off repros of the rules and copied the board on the back
of one repro - <u>STAMP COLLECTORS GAME</u>.
<u>KUNG FU</u> was there too, but I didn't look at it. Stan seemed a
little annoyed with me.
<br>way out of 200 5th met <u>Bud Thomas</u>. I asked him how
things were going. He said that it was hard work getting every
order but they were working hard at it.
I asked him when he was returning to Nashville. Probably
Thurs. Asked him to tell <u>Ed Schifman</u> that I rcd. his letter
and would be sending the <u>INTERSECTION</u> model to him this week.
I asked if he thought there was a possibility of redoing the
game but he said that was Ed's department.
