Call from Felicia. Couldn't read a Bronx street name that someone
sent her in a letter. He has some plastic items with patents and
she may take him as a client, Found out it was in Co-op City.
Told her that the games I had for DAISY were CHECKERS VARIATIONS
and CHINESE CHECKERS VARIATIONS using numbered checkers. She was
enthusiastic and will contact the editor as soon as she returns
from vacation. Then she'll call me.
Call from Barbara Weinstein, who is an assistant to Doris Bass
at Pantheon (7/16). Bloomingdale's at Fresh Meadows would
like me there about 10 A.M. on 10/18 for 2 one hour sessions. O.K.
I should be getting a letter from Jean Green who is in charge of
special events at this store.
Marion Burden of the Hackensack Bloomingdales knows of me
thru her sons subscription to S&T. She'd also like to set something
up. O.K. with me.
Barbara would like to get together sometime and discuss what I'll
do at the sessions. I'm to call her: {Barbara Weinstein [phone number]
Call from Jay Peterson. He wanted to know what the status of the
HARRY LORAYNE MEMORY GAME was at present and I told him about
the idea Harry Lorayne and I spoke about on 7/11, the separate
cards with faces and those with names - cut out so that the face
would show. I asked him how he was progressing. He has preliminary
prices on the board and cover and it seems O.K. He is
leaving on vacation so nothing more will be done till he gets back.
Bob Reiss has been getting on talk programs and asked Jay to see
if there was a book on the history of games he could borrow from
me. Told Jay about THE STUDY OF GAMES (should be available in stores),
THE COMPLETE ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO GAMBLING (I can loan him a copy) and
