and <u>CHINESE CHECKERS VARIATIONS</u> using numbered checkers. She was
enthusiastic and will contact the editor as soon as she returns
from vacation. Then she'll call me.

at Pantheon (7/16). Bloomingdale's at Fresh Meadows would
like me there about 10 A.M. on 10/18 for 2 one hour sessions. O.K.

Call from <u>Jay Peterson</u>. He wanted to know what the status of the
<u>HARRY LORAYNE MEMORY GAME</u> was at present and I told him about
the idea <u>Harry Lorayne</u> and I spoke about on 7/11, the separate
cards with faces and those with names - cut out so that the face
would show. I asked him how he was progressing. He has preliminary
prices on the board and cover and it seems O.K. He is
leaving on vacation so nothing more will be done till he gets back.
<br>Bob Reiss</u> has been getting on talk programs and asked Jay to see
if there was a book on the history of games he could borrow from
me. Told Jay about <u>THE STUDY OF GAMES</u> (should be available in stores),
<u>THE COMPLETE ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO GAMBLING</u> (I can loan him a copy) and
<u>A HISTORY OF PLAYING CARDS</u> & <u>GAMES ANCIENT AND ORIENTAL</u> (both available
