July 1975 - Wednesday 16
197th day - 168 days to come

Rcd. [received] a letter from Ed Schifman from asking me to send back the new INTERSECTION model when I get the opportunity.

Finish the rules for FREE FOR ALL.
Wrote letter to Mr. Rodimach of Pelikan: mentioned DARN CLEVER, FOREIGN INTRIGUE, FREE FOR ALL; AGOG; MOULIN ROUGE, TRAMP; GLOBETROTTER, QUADRIGA, TWIN, MINISTER. BB typed it.
Packed FREE FOR ALL and DARN CLEVER in clasp envelopes. At BB's suggestion used a transparent plastic bag in each one to keep the material together.

To Post Office. Mailed DARN CLEVER, FREE FOR ALL, and AGOG, to and the letter to Pelikan. $5.71 I believe - the book was the most expensive.
Picked up the registered letter - from Haar Hoolim. He mentions FORCES, FRIENDS AND FOES, FOCUS, LIVE AND LEARN; DOUBLE; PLOY; Dr. Tauber; CHECKERS, CHESS; KING OF THE CASTLE, STEPPING STONES, HIDEAWAY; TURNOVER - with a separate solution, FIND THE LINE; CAPTURING; THE GAME OF STACKS!
Also included, a post card with picture of the Kennedy memorial in Jerusalem and message: To Sidney Sackson & family with Best Wishes - Haar Hoolim. (I'll give it to Claude.)

Call from Fabio. Bloomingdales is setting up some book signing sessions and he asked if I minded getting together with groups of kids - for a lecture on games and then for signing copies of
BEYOND TIC-TAC-TOE! O.K. with me if it sells books.
A session will be about 1 1/2 hours. The dates are 9/20, 10/4, 10/18, and 11/1 - altho not necessarily all of them will be for me. I'll be hearing from Doris Bass who will handle my P.R. [public relations] for Pantheon. // Asked and he said he had signed the release for AGOG, but final say is up to Random House editor. In a nice way - don't bother him.
BB typed the rules for FREE FOR ALL and DARN CLEVER.

think he knows what's going on.
I asked if Dick liked anything she showed him. Yes, but she'll believe it when she gets a contract.

2nd call from Felicia. Checking again on the Hallmark contracts so that she can write to Bob Johnson. Told her that RED LETTER, ANOTHER, DIGIT, PE-LING, and TROMINO GO were removed in Aug. of '73 [August of 1973]. Her records gave it as 8/24/73 (I am pretty sure). The PLANES contract expired 3/10/74.
Steve Radash (see '74 [1974]) is interested in subscribing to G&P. She gave him my phone number.

Wrote to Mrs. Robinson about A BOOK OF SIMULATIONS GAMES
