Made a set of "Ja-Nein" cards for the model of
<br>DARN CLEVER</u> and also "Yes-No" cards for my own set.
Replaced the [diamonds] with [hearts] in the set for Germany and also
got my own set up to date.
<br>With the <u>Horn</u>'s played <u>DARN CLEVER</u>, 4-hand. In the first
game I sat out and in the second BB did. At first I had
the rule that any player could call out when they felt that they
knew the answer, but this could stop a player from asking a
question to solve it. Instead give preference to player whose
turn it is and then to the left.
<br>Used on set of cards and had to turn them over for
a second time - shuffled. It would be better to shuffle
both decks together.
<br>In both games all three players got the solution at the same
time. It probably would be better to have two <s>sets of score</s>
rounds of secret questions.

Call from <u>Jerry D'Arcey</u>. He'll be in New York in a week
or so with about six games to show. Among them is
<u>BONEHEAD</u> - he has the mold finished and wants to show
it to Parker before putting it out on his own. He also has
<u>YIN-YANG</u> completed.
<br>He asked me if I had any experience with Kohner and I told
him about 2 people loving my game and the third bouncing
it. <u>Frank Thibault</u> once had trouble getting models back from
Kohner. I said that I never had that problem. Also we both
know that Gabriel took it over.
<br>Lakeside - which Jerry said seems to be in trouble - has
returned <u>SWEEP</u> to him. He thinks it could be added to Kohner's
<u>TROUBLE</u> to make a new game <u>DOUBLE TROUBLE</u>.
<br>Invited Jerry to stay here but a package deal is cheaper
than air fare alone. He'll call when he gets into N.Y.
Call from <u>Wald</u>. He wants to get together to test his Hasbro
game with 6 and suggested he and Maria, <u>Claude</u> and
Anne coming here. I told him that we had a date with
Claude and Anne on 7/18 and he should check with Claude
about doing it then. Also that I don't want BB to do
a lot of work. He'll call Claude.
<br>Asked him about <u>THE MAIL ORDER GAME</u>. He had checked the
flea market where Claude saw it but that dealer wasn't
there. He'll keep his eyes open for it.
<br>Told him that I was disappointed with games and thinking of
stopping - at least for a vacation. He said that games just
wouldn't be the same for him if I left.
<br>Told him that <u>BEYOND TIC-TAC-TOE!</u> (he liked the title)
was the only thing doing well. Told him about the book.
Thinking about <u>FREE FOR ALL</u>. To keep the game moving it
probably would be good to make a capture on each turn,
