Wrote to <u>Robert Kurek</u> asking for review copies of <u>DOUBLE CROSS</u>,
<u>TILT</u>, <u>ROYAL KISMET</u>, <u>GALLOPING GHOST!</u>, <u>FOUR LETTER WORDS</u>.
Wrote to James Koplow thanking him for <u>ORGANIZED CRIME</u>.


Wrote to the librarian (see 7/5) about <u>LOGOMACHY</u>.
With Dave & Barbara <u>Horn</u> played <u>ALL FIVES</u> (Barbara & I won).
Then played <u>FREE FOR ALL</u>. (Barbara, with some help from me,
just beat me out.)
BB typed the rules for <u>THE HARRY LORAYNE MEMORY GAME</u>. I
made a spinner and packed it in the box.

To "Gamut of Games." While <u>Phil Orbanes</u> was on the phone I asked
<u>Carl Eisenberg</u> about the Amway deal. It is going O.K. but
probably payment won't come until August. He didn't realize
that I had done <u>SLY</u> and was getting some of the money.
I asked Phil if I could get my name on as inventor. They are
preparing the mechanicals here and he said he'd put my
name on it - and probably Amway would leave it on.
I told Phil that I had a contact in Europe and that I might
want to present <u>GATEWAY</u> to them. As long as it looks
different there is no problem.
<br>To Summit Office Supply and bought 6 each of the following size
clasp evelopes: 6 1/2x9 1/2, 7 1/2x 10 1/2, 8 1/2x11 1/2, 9x12, 86¢ plus
6¢ tax. The gal packed it in a <s>10x113</s> 11 1/2x14 clasp envelope.
To S&R [Selchow & Righter] and spoke to <u>Lee Tiffany</u>. Told him that I didn't get rules for
[illegible words crossed out] <u>SCORING ANAGRAMS</u>. He gave me another copy.
Asked for list prices and got the following: <u>DUPLICATE CROSSWORD GAME</u>
- $10.00, <u>ESCAPE FROM THE CASBAH</u> - $5.00, <u>SCORING ANAGRAMS</u>
- $3.50.
<br>Tiffany told me that he & <u>G&P</u> are almost at an agreement on the
matter of <u>SCRABBLE</u>, the difference between the rules in England and
the U.S. and the fact that the English people don't mind their
game being written up and Tiffany does. <u>G&P</u> will probably do a
split run.
<br>Tiffany is still annoyed with <u>G&P</u> over <u>MONOPOLY</u>, <u>ANTI-MONOPOLY</u>.
To S.P.I. Asked <u>Redmund</u> when my next column is due. <s>8/1 at the</s>
8/1 at the latest. From Redmund two sheets of green circles,
and two of yellow circles, and a partial sheet of red - with 10
circles and 1 dirty one.
<br>From Gene in the stockroom got the following. <u>MODERN BATTLES</u>;
<u>BLUE & GRAY</u> boxes were out so I took individual folios of <u>SILOH</u>,
<u>ANTIETAM</u>, <u>CEMETERY HILL</u>, <u>CHICKAMAUGA</u>. In the letter from
<u>John Gollon</u> he mentioned that he is sorry he didn't get copies
