<u>MECH WAR '77</u>. Also a copy of <u>MODERN BATTLES</u> - <u>CHINESE FARM</u>, <u>GOLAN</u>,
<u>WURZBURG</u>, <u>MUKDEN</u>.
<br>Howie gave me a letter from <u>George C. Raiselis</u>, who says he
enjoyed <u>AGOG</u> and my past columns. Listed 32 Parker [Parker Brothers] games
he has that date before 1960 and asked if I could add to
the list. (Sent S.A.S.E.)
To Reiss and spoke to <u>Manny Lefkowitz</u>. Took my model of
<u>THE HARRY LORAYNE MEMORY GAME</u>. Told him that <u>Harry Lorayne</u>
was supposed to contact me on 7/9. He thought that was
excessively long (after he stalled for so long).
<br>He was too busy to talk about <u>FIGHT CITY HALL</u>. He said he is still
working on this year's line, so he can't think about next year's
yet. | |||
Rcd. [received] letter from <u>Walter Luc Haas</u>. He wants copies of <u>BLUE & GRAY</u>
and <u>MODERN BATTLES</u>. Also 2 copies of the SPI catalog. Asked
about <u>WOODEN SHIPS & IRON MEN</u>.
Went over the S.P.I. duplicate games and marked them on my
list, that I carry in my wallet.
While downtown I went to Brentano's. Saw <u>FUZZ ROULETTE</u>. Players move
along a path around the edges, by luck getting promoted from patrolman
up - or by luck getting demoted. At the end of each year - time around
the board - players collect points according to their rank. Some spaces
also cause winning or losing of points. //They had <u>ORGANIZED CRIME</u>.
Went through my 5x3 files and found 57 more pre-60 Parker games.
Looked a little at the Parker Archives material but decided not
to include these in my letter to <u>Raiselis</u>.

if available and if an opponent points it out. Also the
game ends as soon as all active pcs. [pieces] become free-movers.
To simplify the rules I think I'll allow a free-mover
to jump, similar to any other moving piece.
<u>Jerry D'Arcey</u> in his call said that <u>SWEEP</u> was returned by
Lakeside, even tho they gave an advance. They seem to be
in trouble. | |||
