To S.P.I. Spoke in general to Jim Dunnigan.
Gave Howie Barasch copies of PATTON and MACARTHUR. He said that
they might find them helpful in the game that they are developing
for the army (which Jim went down to Fort Benning in Ga. [Georgia] to
discuss. They are getting $25,000 for the game I believe he told
me.)
Took duplicate copies of the following games: PANZER '49, SINAI, CHARIOT,
MECH WAR '77. Also a copy of MODERN BATTLES - CHINESE FARM, GOLAN,
WURZBURG, MUKDEN.
Howie gave me a letter from George C. Raiselis, who says he
enjoyed AGOG and my past columns. Listed 32 Parker [Parker Brothers] games
he has that date before 1960 and asked if I could add to
the list. (Sent S.A.S.E.)

To Reiss and spoke to Manny Lefkowitz. Took my model of
THE HARRY LORAYNE MEMORY GAME. Told him that Harry Lorayne
was supposed to contact me on 7/9. He thought that was
excessively long (after he stalled for so long).
He was too busy to talk about FIGHT CITY HALL. He said he is still
working on this year's line, so he can't think about next year's
yet.
Rcd. [received] letter from Walter Luc Haas. He wants copies of BLUE & GRAY
and MODERN BATTLES. Also 2 copies of the SPI catalog. Asked
about WOODEN SHIPS & IRON MEN.
Went over the S.P.I. duplicate games and marked them on my
list, that I carry in my wallet.
While downtown I went to Brentano's. Saw FUZZ ROULETTE. Players move
along a path around the edges, by luck getting promoted from patrolman
up - or by luck getting demoted. At the end of each year - time around
the board - players collect points according to their rank. Some spaces
also cause winning or losing of points. //They had ORGANIZED CRIME.
Went through my 5x3 files and found 57 more pre-60 Parker games.
Looked a little at the Parker Archives material but decided not
to include these in my letter to Raiselis.

if available and if an opponent points it out. Also the
game ends as soon as all active pcs. [pieces] become free-movers.
To simplify the rules I think I'll allow a free-mover
to jump, similar to any other moving piece.
Jerry D'Arcey in his call said that SWEEP was returned by
Lakeside, even tho they gave an advance. They seem to be
in trouble.
