Father's Day - 166th Day - 199 Days to Come
Some new ideas on FREE FOR ALL. Captured pcs. [pieces] score for the one capturing
them. A pc. can capture a pc. of the same number or lower. The lowest
numbered pc. that a player has left (1 at the start) can capture any
number. A "free agent" cannot jump over a piece. When 2 play each gets
a color and two others remain just to be captured- dummies. When
3 play there is one dummy. When 4 play each has a color. With 5-
remove the 6th color and the 8 of each of the 5 colors used. With
6- remove the 8 and 7 of each color. In all cases, play until one color
has been completely captured. High total Wins.
Played a number of games by myself in developing these ideas.
In evening played twice with BB. She didn't like it. I did.
Dale and Phil brought me a copy of MATHEMATICS AND THE IMAGINATION.
Hardcover. I have a paperback.
Also gave me a clipping from the TIMES Book Review section of 6/8,
of the book A BOOK OF A-MAZE-MENTS.
