9 MONDAY - JUNE 1975
160TH DAY - 205 DAYS TO COME
Call from Phil Orbanes checking on whether I will be there today. Told him tomorrow. He'll be there.
Finished the column with SPIRIT OF AMERICA - THE BICENTENNIAL GAMES and CHEZ. Spaced it at exactly 76 lines and BB types it in the late evening.
Looked over SLY again. Checked the two copies of CONFRONTATION to keep the better one. Made list of things to attend to downtown tomorrow.
Rcd. a special delivery package from Germany (post marked 6/6/75 - 2430 pfennigs). Letter saying that they would like to do SLEUTH or a similar game. Also any other new ideas I have. They enclosed a "managing board's report of 1973" and an 1975 games and puzzles catalog - their first year.
Catalog included: (Adult Games) MOULIN ROUGE, (MILL with revolving rings), BACKGAMMON, GLOBETROTTER, QUADRIGA, AGENT (this is Eric Solomon's THE SIGMA FILE), TRAMP (which seems to be the same or similar to SCORE FOUR), BINGO ROMANO ARMADA, TWIN, FINISH; (Family games) OGALLALA, ARIZONA, BLUMENGARTEN, MINISTER, ROBINSON, BIENENKONIGIN, LORELEY, DAS ROTE NASHORN, 3:2---SIEG, SHERIFF PASS AUF!; HEISSE KARTEN is listed under children's games. Letter was signed by a Mr. Rodimach (Rademacher) (as close as I could determine).

and they said I'd be getting it in about 2 weeks - from the [illegible strikeout] day after I spoke to her about it last time.
Fabio checked the sales figures and they are now 2944. He'd like to discuss follow up books in the middle of the summer - rather then the end.
Earlier Janet mentioned that a husband and wife team did the jacket design. their 11 year old daughter loved the games.
Call from Claude. Anne's brother died so date Thurs. will probably be called off. Spoke to Anne later.
Tried to call Earl but no answer.
While downtown today looked in Job Lot. Saw a small cardboard "Game Cube" with the equip't inside and six games on the faces. One [drawing of field] game was NINE MENS MORRIS (I believe they called it MILL) played on the field as shown. (It seems that the player who goes first can't be beat.)
