MAY 1975 - FRIDAY 23
143RD DAY - 222 DAYS TO COME

Started working on DARN CLEVER. Made a deck of cards
with 5 each of single letter groups, 3 each of double letter
groups, 3 each of triple letter groups, and 4 of the quad letter group.
Took two racks left over from the Xerox exhibit. Made 16 tiles.
Drew up a sheet for playing pads and had 15 repros made on Boston Rd.
Call from Phil Orbanes. I asked how he did at the Stationery
Show. O.K.
Amway wants the rules for SLY 6 and Phil would like me to
go over their typewritten rules - also to make the changes for
SOLITAIRE SLY. He'll mail the rules to me and then I'll bring
them to him next week.
I told him that there were parts missing from the box
of Command Series games I got from him. He said I can get
the missing parts when I come in.

Made up four gadgets, each one holding 3 symbol cards,
for use in FOUR-ARMED BANDIT.
Played with BB and at first allowed taking of a card from anywhere,
but we soon saw that this wouldn't work. Then we played limiting taking
to the end of arms. This worked O.K., making a tight but very
playable game. Tried 4-hand by myself and it doesn't seem to get
bogged down
BB and I played DARN CLEVER and we both liked it. Used only one set
of 15 cards for each player so that only one pc. of info has
to be placed in a box on the pad.
