6 TUESDAY - MAY 1975
126TH DAY - 239 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. THE GENERAL (Mar. - Apr. '75; Vol. 11, No. 6). Long article on RICHTHOFEN'S WAR, including a solitaire. Article on PANZERBLITZ. Articles on THIRD REICH. Article on 1776.
On Canal St. bought five packages of 5x3 lined index cards - 3 yellow & 2 cherry - at 19¢ each. Also bought a pad of graph paper for 39¢ (I believe).
On Chambers St. got repros - at 6¢ each - of the RUMMIKUB rules and of my rewrite as far as I went. Also of the rules for FOUR-ARMED BANDIT.
To Felicia. Showed her what I had done on RUMMIKUB and she found it much easier to follow than the original. During my time there finished the special hands etc.
Moses Goldman and Sol in to discuss RUMMIKUB. Also Herb Roth and Eliott?, an artist who will do the box.
Moses said that SPACE BOXES was a fabulous game. He played with some friends and they didn't want to stop. He wants to investigate making it. He will make it larger so that it is easier to place the horizontal rods.
He won't do PAIR OFF since he can't price it low enough to be an impulse item.
When the others left, I gave Felicia a pretty complete description
of FOUR-ARMED BANDIT and she seemed to like it. I suggested
that rather that waiting for Stationary Show it might be an
idea to drive to Springfield to show it to Ron Weingartner. She'll
call and schedule sometime today (I believe) Felicia told me that
To "Gamut of Games." Phil Orbanes said that the writeups of REALM, INFINITY, THE SIX PACK--- was fine.
I asked about the Rand Games and he told the secretary to give me a complete boxed set. He was very busy.
To Reiss and spoke to Manny Lefkowitz. I asked if THE HARRY LORAYNE MEMORY GAME was dead. Not at all. He has been waiting to hear from Lorayne's lawyer. He said he'll call and see what is doing.
I asked about FIGHT CITY HALL and he asked how I was coming with it. I told him that I only had a few things to straighten out to finish it up, and asked if I should do it to bring to him. He said to wait until he contacts me about it.
One of them I saw a drawing of a box for SUSPENSE hanging on
the wall and I asked how the game was progressing. Noone there has
played the game so they don't know if it needs further work
to make it playable. They are leaving that to "Gamut of Games."
One of the young fellows there said that Carl Eisenberg is now
a partner at "Gamut of Games."
To S.P.I. Howie Barasch gave me a letter from William Linden asking about KGB: THE SECRET FORMULA and THE DOUBLE AGENT.
