consultant to Gamut. $15 an hour.

Felicia said that when DUEL came back I should return it to Claude. She doesn't want to have anything to do with him again - (Because of Hasbro)

She also said to have George Bredehorn pick up his things. But then said she'd try once more during Stationary Show.

To S.P.I. Redmund said that he is able to use all of my copy for #50. He spoke to Richard Berg last Friday and Berg doesn't care if I review the same games as he does.

I spoke to Howie Barasch about my looking at the war games that that come through him before passing them on to Berg. He'll try to arrange that. Berg is coming in tomorrow and Howie will ask him to call me.

Took copies of the following games: CHARIOT, SPARTAN, VIKING, LEGION, and PHALANX - which is a duplicate. I should have taken YEOMAN. Made two sets of copies of the AGOG appendix, to send one to Peter Carr.

While at Felicia's I looked at NICCOLO MACHIAVELLI again. (See 4/23.) The central part of the board consists of 32 spokes, each divided into the outside circle, with the pictures of the characters, and 6 concentric circles numbered from 1 to 6. Along the edges of the board is another path, connected to the circle with the characters at 4 points.

Each player has a master marker and 4 (I believe) smaller markers. The master marker is moved in a counter-clockwise direction by the throw of 2 dice, and at the connecting points can move on either path. When land on a picture of a character, can place a small marker on the 1 of that spoke - paying one ducat. When land on "2" space on edge path can pay 2 ducats and move to 2, etc., up to 6. Players start with some ducats and earn and lose them by landing in "fate card" spaces. 3 times during game they can force an opponent to loan them 6 ducats. When land on a "payment" space must throw dice and pay that many ducats. Three numbered cards with for each player keep track of these transactions. A player can stop another player's small marker. By landing on a "poison" space, paying the number of ducats and taking a "poison" card - only a certain number in game - and placing it
