22 TUESDAY - APRIL 1975
112TH DAY - 253 DAYS TO COME

Didn't receive the WASHINGTON check that Bob Gellman mentioned yesterday. Called and he called me back. He checked and the check will go out this Friday.

The Skytrex people have taken 84 eac ordered 84 each of PATTON and MACARTHUR, but this should be only a start since they will try to get it placed with others in England.

I suggested that, since war games are doing so well, we should be thinking of the next title. He said that it is not that great (not in a nasty way at all). Toys 'R Us put in the biggest order in 1974, about 2300 each of PATTON and MACARTHUR. They only sold 600 MACARTHUR and are marking down the rest. They sold 1700 PATTON. But PATTON was in their catalog and WEEKEND IN VEGAS, which wasn't, sold as many.

Yesterday when I invited the Skytrex people I also invited Bob, but he couldn't make it. He'll take a rain-check, and then would like to discuss new product where I can pull out things.

Rcd. a letter from Earl Perel with some of his poems - no message.

BB typed the letter to A.T. Rehm, with a carbon and a letter to Keith Tuggle. On ACQUIRE.

Worked out a puzzle for SOLITAIRE SLY, and recorded the solution. Got another solution but couldn't get it again.

Also realized that 98 cards 36 cards could be used for playing SOLITAIRE SLY. It will be good to include in a book someday.

In TIME magazine for 4/21 found a long article on Martin Gardner. (Filed in M.G. folder.)

Alan left before Felicia told me about Aladdin, etc. Before he left they discussed Skor-Mor, who has lost Alan's game NFL FRANCHISE OWNER, and never answers letters. They decided on a registered letter.

Felicia said that she has been in touch with Barry Shapiro, who is looking at games for Gabriel - who have taken over Kohner.

Felicia is acting as a consultant for someone from Israel who is trying to sell a new kind of tile game - Herb Roth is interested in being the rep. I asked if it was RUMMIKUB. Yes - and she was surprised. Told her I saw it at the International Toy Show. She thought it was important and will call me tomorrow to get the name of the exhibitor. Herb didn't seem concerned.
