APRIL 1975 - TUESDAY 15
105TH DAY - 260 DAYS TO COME

At a bazaar at the Abalon bought a duplicate copy of STAR REPORTER for 75¢. A few cards and two of the tokens were missing.

Rcd. PLAYTHINGS (April). Showcase includes CARTEL, BODY LANGUAGE [M.B.] [Milton Bradley], and ARKANSAS BLUFF. Ad for "Coach House Games" (SPIRIT OF AMERICA THE BICENTENNIAL GAMES). Article saying that ANTI-MONOPOLY was selling well.

Rcd. a registered letter (that I had to pick up after calling three times) from Haar Hoolim.

In his letter he mentions THERE AND BACK, UP WITH THE KING, DOUBLE, TURNOVER, STACK UP, ON GUARD, TAKE BALL TAKE ALL, QUEEN'S GUARD, TAC-TIC, BARRICADE, STOPLO, BAAZI, BLUE AND GRAY, TABLUT.

Sent rules for THERE AND BACK (2 versions) and UP WITH THE KING.

Sent clipping from WINNIPEG FREE PRESS with article on Jim and ruth Deacon who publish co-operative games such as COMMUNITY and ZEN BLOCKS (see '74) and TOGETHER.

Sent clipping from TIME mag on CHESS (see 2/17). (Discarded.)

Started my column for S&T #50. Wrote review of GOTCHER. Called Ed Schifman to ask about the "indirect" win in BARRIER. Got the info and put it in box. Asked if he wanted his name mentioned; yes.

Call from Felicia. Miguel Prado has made changes in his game POWER PLAY and she'd like me to look at it before she makes up her mind whether to handle it. Made date for Thurs. at 3.

She had a nice letter from Ron Weingartner (can't remember details - if she told me.)

She has some more disgusting news about Hallmark, which she'll tell me Thurs.

Call from Claude, and Anne - to confirm date for 4/25. Nothing specifically on games.

(cont. from 4/13) [4/17]

In my talk with Lee Tiffany he mentioned that a company (E.S. Lowe) had put out a game SCRIBBAGE, but had been forced by S&R to change the name (to AD-LIB). [Started 4/17] LAST DAY TO FILE YOUR FEDERAL INCOME TAX REPORT FOR 1974
AND ESTIMATED DECLARATION FOR 1975.
