THE 6 PACK OF PENCIL PAPER & PENCIL GAMES, THE OLD SHELL GAMES, BATTLEWAGON SALVO. ARMOUR AND INFANTRY, 1950-75 WARGAMES RULES (Book), THE ANCIENT WARGAME (Book).

In my talk with Jim he told me that he was leaving tomorrow for Georgia to talk to the army command - on expense account - about SPI doing war games for the army.

To Felicia. Miguel I. Prado was there with his new version of POWER PLAY. Felicia had asked him to shorten the rules, and he did so to such an extent that they were incomprehensible. Felicia asked if I thought there was any market for it and I said that I couldn't think of any, but she should know better that I. She decided not to handle it now. Prado asked me if I would work on it with him, splitting royalties. Told him that I was very busy now, but took his card in case I found some spare time.

At 200 5th to S&R. Spoke to Lee Tiffany. He was mad at G&P, and at me, about the article on MONOPOLY. I told him that I didn't have anything to do with the article. But that I felt sure that Charles Darrow didn't invent the game. But that didn't in any way invalidate Parker's trade-mark. At first he said he didn't want to have anything with reporters - they always distort everything - and he told me something about a woman writer. I showed him my review of THE OLD SHELL GAME and he said it was quite fair - actually the game has bombed. We became friends again and he gave me an S&R catalog and told me to dropp of my card together with the games I want and he'll send them from the factory. (Gave him a copy of S&T #49.)

The only games of possible interest are GOT A MINUTE; SCORING ANAGRAMS; DUPLICATE CROSSWORD GAME (he said that he is fighting to have the rules changed, but would like me[y] opinion off the record); ESCAPE FROM THE CASBAH (which he said is bombing - buyers aren't taking anything but standards).
