2 WEDNESDAY - APRIL 1975
92ND DAY - 273 DAYS TO COME

Call from Felicia. She has a date set up with Shelly Lieberman of [illegible strikeout] Edu-Cards next Monday, in their offices in Commack, L.I.

She asked if I'd drive, and she'd pay for the gas. o.k. She particularly wants to show them SHAPE & SHATTER. BB said that that name is downbeat, and it should be "Shape, Shatter, and Shape." Felicia agreed. I mentioned that I had changed PROFIT to PROFIT & LOSS. She didn't like that at all and I said that I'd tell Ed Schifman.

Among the other things we discussed bringing were SPACE BOXES, HEX MATCH, EVEN WORSE, FOREIGN INTRIGUE, and THE WINNING TICKET.

She asked if it would be alright to bring some of our other things. Off course: I suggested Alan Newman's RIGHT ANGLES. She said that they had given up on that one. She does want to bring a "Crayon Ball" since Edu-Cards is now part of "Binney & Smith."

She said that she had given a copy of PUSHOVER to Alan, but that he had given up trying to play it; he couldn't understand the rules.

She also said something about TOTALLY, but I don't recollect.

She asked me about Jerry D'Arcey's COUP D'ETAT. She heard rumors that he got $30,000 as an advance from P. I said that I believe that the advance was about $5,000; that $30,000 was the first year's royalty.

Arranged that I'd pick her up at her office at noon Monday.

Decided to make a new board for THE WINNING TICKET and called Felicia to get info on the size of the present board and the compartments on it.

Started working on the new board, making a layout.

Call from Ed Schiffm Ed Schifman. He is preparing the new model of TAKEOVER! for costing and asked me how many pieces of the various denominations of paper money were required. Told him that I'd check and call back.

Told him about Felicia's objection to PROFIT & LOSS. He thought that he prefers this to PROFIT, and I agreed.

Checked on the required money for TAKEOVER! and came up with the following as a minimum: 30 @$1,000; 20 @ $5,000; 30 @ $10,000; 15 @ $15,000 - for a total of 90 pieces. (Looked at MONOPOLY and the new set has about 200 pieces.

Called Ed and he increased the $5,000's to 25 and the $50.000's to 15 - for a total of 100 pieces.

While checking the TAKEOVER! rules I found that I didn't have a record of the bonus tab values. I thought that they were $12,000; $9,000; $6,000; and $3,000. Ed confirmed this.

Deposited the $50.85 and $500.00 checks in Dollar Bank.

Noticed that 2 of the letters I got for S.P.I. on 3/24
