31 MONDAY - MARCH 1975
SEWARD'S DAY (ALASKA) - 90TH DAY - 275 DAYS TO COME
Wrote to Keith Tuggle telling him that I didn't receive the
question on ACQUIRE (see 3/24).
Wrote to Fabio Coen requesting the final rights in AGOG.
Sent the material on THE RACE TRACK GAME and RACECOURSE to
Claude.
Rcd. a letter from J.R. Attkisson who is doing a column on games for a Florida paper. He got my name from Phyllis Melhado and is now interested in my advice on selling games to manufacturers.
Enclosed a repro of his column on THINKING MAN'S GOLF.
Went over the games that Ed Schifman asked me about. (See a sheet of notes in Aladdin folder.)
Called Ed Schifman. Discussed the following, or at least mentioned them (see note sheet): ARRAY, CONNECTION, THE CONNECTION [Gameophiles], CONNECT, CONNEXIONS, CONTINUITY, CONTRA, CONTRO, CONTRABAND, CROSSBAR, CROSSPOINT, NETWORK, AGOG, PENTAD, PLEXUS, POLARITY, QUINTESSENCE [Gametime], TRANSPOSIT, VISA VERSA, INTERSECTION, PUSHOVER, TAKEOVER, QUADRANT, HO-VE-DI, TAKE-A-WORD, PROFIT & LOSS, BARRIER.
I said that he could call me to check on games whenever he wanted. He said that I could call him whenever I wanted.
While going through material for Ed, noticed that there is a letter from Prof. E.M. Avedon about a game museum in the "University of Waterloo" in Ontario, in G&P #22.
While going through tax material for 1974, realized that the advance I got from Bob Gellman was for MACARTHUR, not for WASHINGTON. (When he scratched the latter he said that he would pay me something for my time - but I said that I had rcd. an advance.)

ISHI - two play and each has pcs. of his own color (actually GO stones. First player places 7 of his pcs. in any connected group. Next player can place any number up to 8 (one more than last placed) of his color in a group, etc. (What is the objective?) Game can be played taking off, in which case a player can choose either color.
QUARO is the same game as SPOTS or !@#C&*!. (Later checked and I had the rules. The earlier allowed a line to score when there were intervening empty spaces; the later were
