MARCH 1975 - SUNDAY 30
EASTER DAY - 89TH DAY - 276 DAYS TO COME
Wrote to Keith Tuggle telling him that I didn't receive the question on ACQUIRE (see 3/24).
Wrote to Fabio Coen requesting the final rights in AGOG. Sent the material on THE RACE TRACK GAME and RACECOURSE to Claude.

not quite clear. Checked with Alex and they must be together.)
DOMEMO. There are 28 tiles :- 1 - #1, 2 - #2, ----7 - #. When 2 play each is dealt 7 tiles, 7 are turned face up for information and the other 7 are left hidden. A player's tiles are faced so that he can't see them but the opponent does. On a turn the player calls out a number. If he has a tile of that number the opponent turns it down and the player goes again, until he doesn't have the number he calls. First to have his 7 tiles turned down wins. When 3 play, each gets 7 tiles and the remaining 7 remain hidden. When 4 play, each gets 5 tiles, 4 are up and 4 are down. A player only calls one number in a turn, even if correct. When 5 play, each gets 4 tiles, 4 are up and 4 are down.
PEGGINO. the pcs. are of the layout shown, with [drawing of layout: two rows of three squares with a marker on the first square] all possible arrangements of holes, from 1 to 6. These are placed on pegs and can be [illegible strikeout] placed in more than 1 layer. (Very rough idea.) After this was done by Ravensburger they noticed Hallmark's FITTING & PROPER. At first they were afraid of a conflict but play is entirely different.
The pseudonyms that Alex is using are L.W. Bones, P. Halvah, and Sebastiano.
On drive to Martin's Alex asked me if I knew of a game
using the following principle. I didn't. Alex calls it
BLANKETY BLANK and it is a word game. In each turn a player
places 3 letter tiles on his own board and 1 blank tile
on his opponent's board. (Very rough idea.)
Another game idea he asked about was ZAMMEL ZAMMEL.
Markers of different colors are placed randomly on a grid. Each
player (how many?) secretly chooses a color he wants to collect.
Players in turn take 2 adjacent - including diagonally - markers of
different colors. Object is to get the most of the chosen color.
I said that it would become obvious what color a player was
collecting. Alex is thinking of a "challenge" feature. A player can
challenge an opponent when he thinks he knows his color, but is
out if wrong. Told Alex about the published game HAGGLE.
I asked Alex about his SQUARE OFF. Parker dropped it, claiming trouble getting plastic. It is still being sold, under the name DEFI, by Miro and Parker of Germany, and is doing o.k. In general the German companies try to keep a game going even if the quantities sold are not large by U.S. standards. For instance, the first year Ravensburger did REVERSI sales
