27 THURSDAY - MARCH 1975
PESACH, FIRST DAY OF PASSOVER - 86TH DAY - 279 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. check for $50.85, with statement and repro of a letter to Phil Orbanes.

Finished LINE UP rules, EMPIRE, BLOCKADE, and GATEWAY - completing the rules for SLY 6. GATEWAY is my new name for SNIGGLE.

Called Phil Orbanes to confirm date for tomorrow - since it is "Good Friday." Sect. said it was o.k.

In the final set of rules I used all my viable ideas, except for the a variation of GET THE JUMP in which a ▲ piece always makes two moves, rather than one. That is, it makes one move - including bonuses if any - and then makes another move. With the ▲'s placed in different starting positions, this would make for variety in the beginning moves.

Until late in evening putting in the shapes on the diagrams for SLY 6. Did 9 -- I had 11 sheets, but spoiled 2.

TWIXT one player places a red tower anywhere he wishes. Then the other player chooses which color he will play. With BREAKTHRU one player makes a setup of both sides and the other chooses which he'll play. He also had an idea for GO-MOKU: after each player has play the first player has placed three pcs. - against 2 for the second player - the second player can decide which side he'll play.

Alex showed a version of GO that he said will give beginners objectives. A number of markers are placed at random on intersections. These are captured in the same way as
