Wrote rules for PROFIT & LOSS - the name I finally decided on for PROFIT.
Looked at my rules for THE HARRY LORAYNE MEMORY GAME, in preparation for tomorrow. (cont. below)

to wait. I could have had them back without paying. I said that Martin Gardner might be able to get a paperback publisher for me. He said that Random House has taken over Ballentine Books and they might be interested - and if so I would get the full 5% royalties. He'll check on this. In the meantime I'm to write asking for the return of my rights. Told him to send a copy of BEYOND TIC-TAC-TOE to "To Tell the Truth" ASAP.
Played 500 RUMMY with dad & Ilka.
Wrote the ending of the rules for PROFIT & LOSS. Packaged
it in a small pencil box - flat one.
Made the letter tiles for the new TAKE-A-WORD set,
With the Saperstien's played a little of TAKE-A-WORD. Later
decided that more "Red Letters" would add to the fun
made following additions and changes - Z4, X4, Q4, V3, K3, I3,
W2, M2, B2 (these are the only letters with only 1 tile).

Visited Henry & Patricia Pelham Burn. Brought them TOTALLY, but we didn't get around to playing.
