53rd Day - 312 Days to Come

Rcd. [received] a "Complimentary Copy" of WARGAMER'S DIGEST (Aug. '74 [August 1974]). Seems to be mainly on miniatures. Full page ad for REALM.
Rcd. a royalty report from "Gamut of Games" for REALM - $37.38 and 6 PACK - $88.69 --- for 1974. Rcd. #350 in advances in '74 so I am still $223.93 behind.

Called Martin Gardner to give him the name of the book - GAME THEORY A NONTECHNICAL INTRODUCTION.
Asked him if there was any action by Sci. Am. on Conway's FOOTBALL. There won't be any until they get the results of Martin's "Film Strip" project - of then. Hinted that I'd like him to keep my games, like ORGANISMS, in mind. He said he certainly would.
I bought up Earl Perel again and Martin remembered writing to him.

Played PUSHOVER with Phil Laurence. He understood the rules O.K. He tried the solitaire and we discovered that with the rule change - allowing a single pc. [piece] move when a pushover was available - it is just about always possible to get a perfect score.
Played 4-hand PROFIT. It was quite cutthroat. I caused about 3 bankruptcies.
