19 WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 1975
50TH DAY - 315 DAYS TO COME

Call from Jerry D'Arcey in the morning. He is seeing manufacturers today and will call me about the possibility of sleeping over tonight - about noon.

Call from Alan Calhamer. In town and would like to get together. Invited him after supper tonight, contingent on my plans with Jerry. Alan called back at 5 and I confirmed the invite.

Call from Jerry late in afternoon, at Kennedy on way home. He saw Dick Harris and asked how many things in their new line were developed "in house." About 50%. Among the others, most were from the big boys - Glass, etc. - but at least one of the children's games, HEY TAXI!, was from an independent. Dick didn't look at Jerry's things but said he'd come to California to do so. Bill Dohrmann will too.

Alan Calhamer here in the evening. Interesting visit, but nothing specific other than that he rcd. about 200 orders for NAVAL GAME thru my column. I asked and he has sold about 100,000 copies of DIPLOMACY - Games Research that is. (I am pretty sure that is the figure he gave me.)

Deposited the Reiss check - VEGAS 13, etc. - in Dollar.

In talking about English game companies, Vic Toy came up. He doesn't care for them. They held on to games that he was trying to place for many months and then returned them without comment.
